JALLE BOMAN
A year after the partnership between Atlantica and Boman had began,
Federico visited Boman’s office in Gothenburg to meet Gösta. Present at the meeting was Jalle, Gösta’s eldest son, who had just completed his studies in London and an eight-month placement with a German supplier.
Seizing the opportunity, Jalle asked Federico if he could join Atlantica as an intern to deepen his knowledge of the textile industry — and he was welcomed.
In 1963, Jalle traveled by train to Prato, where he spent a year working at Atlantica as an errand boy. In an era before fax machines and modern communication, all orders from Sweden were sent by mail. Among Jalle’s tasks was delivering correspondence on a vespa to various suppliers — a hands-on experience that not only strengthened his relationship with Federico but also reinforced the partnership between Boman and Atlantica, which would continue successfully for many years.
